Lamp!
Tuesday, March 30, 2010 This lamp has been bouncing around my head for a few weeks. I sourced textile electrical cable from Sweden, by way of a German eBay reseller (if anyone knows a U.S. source, please hit me up on the contact page), and the rest of the parts are standard hardware store stuff. The main body is the leg of an Ikea LACK side-table. Very happy with how this came out.
Further plans include wall and ceiling mounts via rare-earth magnets. Higher-res pics in the design section. :D
UPDATE: Hello new visitors. I've had so much interest from the posts on Materialicious and Design Milk (thanks!) that I've decided to offer a limited-run series of twenty-five pieces.
