The sixth wedding anniversary's traditional gift material is iron. (Who knew?) I bought this great horseshoe nail necklace from Twisted Iron Jewelry, then did a bit of a remix. Swapped in angular beads and a yellow leather cord for a modern flavor.

The short version: nothing fit, so we had to build it!  Bigger pictures and more explanation in design.

]]>Lamp!http://www.crawfordcreativestudio.com/we-are/2010/3/30/lamp.htmlCharles Crawford2010-03-30T22:12:13Z2010-03-30T22:12:13ZThis lamp has been bouncing around my head for a few weeks.  I sourced textile electrical cable from Sweden, by way of a German eBay reseller (if anyone knows a U.S. source, please hit me up on the contact page), and the rest of the parts are standard hardware store stuff.  The main body is the leg of an Ikea LACK side-table.  Very happy with how this came out.

Further plans include wall and ceiling mounts via rare-earth magnets.  Higher-res pics in the design section.  :D
